Tired of all those Regime Lies? Me too.

A Fijian dies and goes to Heaven. As he stands in front of St Peter at the Pearly Gates, he sees a huge wall of clocks behind him.

"What are all those clocks?" he asks.

St Peter answers,"Those are lie-clocks. Everyone on earth has a lie-clock.

Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move."

"Oi sa dina," says the man in awesome wonder.

"Whose clock is that one?"

"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."

"Wooooo kemudou, ," whistles the man in absolute amazement.

"And whose clock is that one?"

St Peter responds: "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."

"Sa teri" says the man. "So where's Bainimarama and Chaudary's lie-clocks?"

"Their clocks are in Jesus' office, " St Peter says.

"He's using them as ceiling fans."

Understanding illogic

With respect to other military personnel who have brains, looks, gumption and morals , when a person like Bhainiramarama who has been taught by rote to bark his name, rank, and serial number when prompted, it is to be expected that all other thinking and speaking outside of the square will be, and has been painful to behold - let alone endure !

And indeed so it has come to pass. On full gruesome display to the world for the past 18 months.

How many more times are the people of Fiji to wake up to an idiot's rambling and fractured declarations ?
What the Head Pig means about "understand" really means ... its only what HE wants it to mean to himself ...

The most recent example being Bhai's attempt to re-interpret Minister Sevele's words in regards to yet another pitted promise of ELECTIONS ......

Caught in an outright lie.

A little bird in the corridors of the junta also tells me that the ELECTIONS that we are now NOT going to have IS BECAUSE the master programme for breaking down all indigenous institutions and Fijian intelligentsia isn't completed yet - howzzat for another bizarre illogic typical of this regime?

So introduce all the delay tactics such as we are seeing now.
Steadily the purge of all successful Fijians in Government and in Quasi Govt institutions continues unabated .... especially for those that are brave enough to stand up to the powers that be and tell the truth .

As fellow blog site Fiji Democracy said last week :
“The biggest enemy of our illegal military-backed regime has always been the truth.

The truth about the economy, the truth about the beatings and killings in the wake of Frank Bainimarama’s 2006 coup, the truth about the promised election, the truth about Mahendra Chaudhry’s bank accounts and tax affairs, the truth about the CRW killings in 2000, the truth about death threat to diplomats, the truth about the manipulation of the judiciary and the civil service.

The junta that is running this country into the ground hates the truth! That is why it seeks to impose control over our free media.

That is why our beloved Fiji is being turned into a pathetic imitation of Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union or Mugabe’s Zimbabwe. That is why we know we are living under a dictatorship."

Tukana Bovoro was one such person who was brave enough to tell people he didnt agree with their sledgehammer policies and witness what has happened to him via a puppet board placed at FDB by Choro-ry.
Bovoro joins the ranks of those successful intelligent career Fijians who have by virtue of their success have been deemed too tall poppies and cut down by veiqati - jealous uneducated insignificants who are blinded by their envy and their greed.

Don't you worry my petals .... good citizens unjustly treated like Justice Fatiaki, Qarase, Ratu Joni, Bavoro, Banuve, Anare Jale, Moses Driver, Joe Mar, Bainimara, Imrana Jalal, Richard Naidu, Tupou Draunidalo, Pene Nonu, Lallun Khan, Kevueli Bulamainaivalu, Semesa Karavaki, Apisalome Tudreu, Sakeasi Ditoka , Ilaitia Tamata, Bulou Rakuita, Paula Uluinaceva, Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Ro Filipe, Ro Teimumu Kepa, Ratu Saki, Viliame Leqa, Litia Mawi, etc etc haven't been forgotten ...
for by virtue of their nature they will always rise to bloom again.

Nothing like mere weeds can stop their inner growth and maturity.
After all shallow rooted people, cannot make deep rooted people.

Oink Oink Snort Snort

What a couple of weeks eh ragone!

Always a drama in Fiji every day of late ..... not surprising given the abundance of drama queens and bi-polar types masquerading as our "leaders".

BUT FIRST to the the news of the military pigs feasting excessively at the national trough.

Like thousands of Fiji taxpayers pursued mercilessly by FIRCA because we work very hard to pay our way , I have been gobsmacked at the massive payment to Vore of close to $200,000 tax-payers smackers ...

And to add insult to injury, the same (undisclosed but obviously massive sums) to 40 other officers that according to Aziz who squealed in typical propoganda-speak that oinky theft of this nature is perfectly "normal" . Woilei ! Since when luvequ's?!

Lets examine the junta's voracious pig-out at the trough :

POINT ONE : Legally speaking, there never was any legal back pay payable as annual leave can only be accrued to a certain level , it must then be used or forfeited .

As a fellow blogger said, what Aziz Frank and others have done , is theft , pure and simple .

No where in the world would such a thing be condoned (oh but of course in Zimbabwe, Marcos' Philipines, Nazi Germany etc etc this sort of thing was nothing especially when there were concealed bank accounts in Switzerland, Barbados, Australia .... etc etc... )

POINT TWO : This payout is a farce and the reason behind it is very simple - Chaudary has authorised this because by paying Vore and his officers this so called "back pay", he has BOUGHT their loyalty thus making them indebited to him.

So it comes as no surprise and absolutely SHOWCASES the lack of moral fiber inherent in these military has-beens ... Chaudry has presented these "officers" a pig in a poke and they have gorged on the con big time without realising .... woilei how very very shameful !

(A well read blog contributer has put forward his theory which explains why there has been no revolt from the RFMF in regards to the announcement about having no elections , and that is because their top officers have their wallets full!! How corrupt is that??)

POINT THREE : It seems the illegal calculations used by Chaudary and Aziz to pay Vore and his band of 40 thieves for the 70's and the 80's was calculated to TODAY's pay rates, nevermind what they USED to be paid back in them poor ol days.

Again, a most immoral , heinous and corrupt act of thieving from the nation's coffers, AND in broad daylight.

POINT FOUR : This payment was covered up by the regime until someone blew the whistle .. so much for transparency!

As Professor Lal said recently
"Increasingly, it is becoming clear that the interim administration has been infected by the virus of hubris and narcissism."

He is correct when he says the arrogance of power was constantly on display. "There is no accountability, no transparency in what it does or in what it says.

"They talk about inclusiveness and dialogue but resort to the sledgehammer approach."

He said there was a pretence of working within the law but if it conflicted with their agenda, they simply disregarded it.

POINT FIVE : Now we have a cadre of 40 plus officers who have feasted at the national trough , who have been rewarded for their greed, and who now know they can have unlimited access to it.

All they need is a flimsy excuse and a couple of guns...... oh my goodness ........ so much for putting an end to the coup culture .... all that Chaudary and the KoManDa have done is perpetuate a new gaggle of mercenaries attracted only by the dollar and the chance to lord it over the proletariats.

POINT SIX : Recent payments to the illegal administration like Air Pacific's payment of $6 million goes directly to the Rotten Military Forces so they can continue their oinking at the nation's trough, buying guns, ammunition and more boots to polish while they carry on Chaudry's Labour Party's mission to destroy the Fijian intelligentsia, and in the process impoverish our people.

Lastly recent reports of huge containers of Korean arms coming into the country for use against Fijian by Fijians defies belief ..... all of this activity taking place while our hospitals have no electricity, children cant afford to go to school, people are still losing their jobs and resorting to crime to make ends meet, the rule of law is going to the dogs ... etc etc.

Mr Beddoes as always is right on the money with what he said in regards to this issue.

The level of deceit and underhanded behaviour we have observed daily of this regime since Dec 2006 has no bounds that we can see ... they have proved without a doubt that they are quite rotten indeed and never to be trusted - not now - not ever.

Message for Winston and Stephen

Bula vinaka boys - welcome to friendly Fiji - or at least it was a lot more friendly once upon a time.

On behalf of the Fiji Freedom Bloggers and the majority of good and noble up-standing Fijian citizens we wish to say Bula Vinaka to you.

Our simple wish is to reclaim our democratic, civil and human rights that have been taken from us by force.

We also wish to see the military thugs headed by Bainiramarama relinquish power and face the consequences of their actions .

The military regime has in a few short months brought much misery to Fiji. and we can only imagine the appalling immoral and aggressive behaviour which you may have been subjected to today in the meeting with Fiji's bullies.

Tomorrow you will both have meetings with other important stakeholders in Fiji and you will be hearing that you MUST continue with the smart sanctions because they are working very well.

The military thugs and their lackeys are indeed finding it very hard to operate and peddle their evil propoganda because of the fact they cannot travel.

They are starting to find out that Fiji is not an island that can stand alone.

Fiji is part of the world. Surprise, surprise, and they are just starting to get it ...... that Fiji's people and it's economy cannot exist on their propoganda alone.

God bless you two gentlemen and the rest of the Pacific Island Ministers here.

May you be successful in your Fiji venture and in your noble endeavors to bring to the Fijian people some resolution to the mess we find ourselves in.

And the Difference Is ?

What
Sanctimonious rubbish.

For 20 year the children of Fiji (now grown up) have witnessed thugs like Rabuka, Speight and Bainimarama taking the law into their own hands with their cowardly usurpation of power, with no moral conscience about the lessons this action conveyed and continues to convey to the nation.

So whats the difference between what this group of villagers did and what Bainimanama has done ?

Isn't whats good for the goose good for the gander too?

Is this regime trying to catch the horse after it has bolted ?

Or are we standing by to witness the birth of a new junta word to justify the
prevarication, the deflection of, the contortion and deviation of: what is the law, what is right and has virtue and integrity, and what moral signposts are left standing in Fiji today?

National Pain

Bubu's Kati Club Members have a bet about what happened today on the National Bus Drivers strike :

That this was Bainimarama's Solution (ie threat) : Military to confiscate buses if they don't go back to work and Military Drivers to drive routes

Bets anyone ????

Setting Goals for Struggling Students, Teachers and Schools

Sometimes other folk can capture brilliantly what you try to say in other words, and I thank Blog Contributor EFT for his synoptic comments regarding the Young People article , and which I reproduce here :

"Yes, young people are the future and the sensible adults have to show the young that criminal activity by the coupsters is to be condemned.

My heart goes out to school principals and teachers who have to endure the rants and ravings of a misguided, incompetent fool of the illegal minister Bole.

From what I have read from this fool, his total knowledge of education could be chiseled onto the back of an asprin.

Schoolies need support as they struggle to compensate their students for the failure of the jaundiced junta to provide stability and leadership.

How can students be expected to perform well at school when their minds are on other things; parents without jobs, no breakfast and no lunch, no money for bus fares, and now, no buses?

When you have a dysfunctional illegal minister desperately trying to hang onto his illegal, well paying job, you certainly won't see any understanding for the plight of the parents, schoolies or students.

After all, he is also afraid of being shafted by chaudopu$$ and his puppet, bananasinpyjamas.

May I set some targets for this fool :

* 95% of students in Fiji attend classes each day

* 100% of students can travel to school by public transport each day [ you may need to do something about roads and the cost of fuel ]

* 90% of teachers feel secure and happy in their role.

*100% of administrators feel supported in their role.

Young People's Protests Easy to Mock but Ignore Them at Your Peril

Each day is a blessing when I have the opportunity to engage with my young. I thank the Lord for their beautiful chocolate skin, their lovely personalities and their light-up-the-room smiles.

We have a big family now especially as extended family now live with us as they have lost their jobs thanks to the Chaudary/Bhai coup. But there is plenty to do. Teitei to be tended, crops to be planted and weeds to be pulled, housework to be done, buka collected and meals to be made for school and the dinner table.

And in the evenings, there is plenty of discussion as our young ones are encouraged to ask us questions about what they see on the TV news. And we are not short on interpreting and commenting on these issues for the kids.

As a family and a mataqali we firmly believe that consulting young people is a key factor in empowering them for making decisions and taking responsibility for actions that they take. This bodes well for the future.

And while it is all too easy for the authorities in Fiji to disparage young people's political actions , they are increasingly hard to dismiss. The urge to ridicule young people's views is irresistible to some at the best of times, let alone when they leave their classes and take to the streets to challenge the government.

For whatever else these youngsters may have learned in class, they have the power and the knowledge to bring governments to heel especially when there are clear societal injustices to be seen.

It is especially gratifying to see Fiji's Youth drawing their lines in the sand, and I must congratulate the Young People's Concerned Network for their fabulous new website.

They have identified their issues and their stand, but also address everyday issues like project opportunities, and jobs in their Youth Classified section, and at the same time they have some fun. They even feature the weather for both Suva and Nadi which I have actually found to be very accurate, more so than the Fiji Met service ! Well done you brave young ones !!

When youth ask for the right to better services for their social and economic and civil benefit and subsequent accountability from leaders, any good Government must engage and participate as this promotes a sense of citizenship and engagement in nation building.

When young people are listened to and their opinions valued, their resilience and self-confidence can be considerably increased.

Bole was in the news recently lamenting the poor pass rate in schools - this is a good example of services shaped to meet youth's presumed needs, rather than the real issues of today.

Due to the blatant "lessons" of law bending and law breaking brought about by the Coups in Fiji, the blurring of what is right and what is wrong, it also reflects the very poor morale of both school administrators and their pupils struggling to make sense of it all.

It is incumbent upon any administration of the day to provide the structures that support a sense of stability and a sense of place in our nation, our cultures and our environments. And teachers and parents to provide the moral senses and guidance that complement this.

No one is winning at the moment.

Our only hope is our youth - the future of Fiji. Ignore them at your peril !
